On or Not?

Astronomical observations are subject to weather. If it is cloudy there is usually no point in trying to see anything in the sky. On days when an observation session is scheduled at the observatory, this page will contain information on weather (sic) or not we are going. The final call will usually be made sometime in the afternoon of the observation session’s day, so check back here then.

Weather forecasts can be obtained, for example, from the National Weather Service.

Open House scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2008. Weather has not improved. Tonight is likely to be completely clouded out. So Open House is once again, regrettably, canceled.

This was to be our last Open House for the spring. I will look into scheduling one more in the hope that we can end more positively. We will restart the program in early August. Have a great summer!
