Week of January 14:
Reading: We will begin on Wednesday with a quick review of the special theory of relativity. If you have never seen this before, you are in the wrong class. If you have, you may want to review what you have learned. We will be emphasizing notation and concepts that will be useful in our study of the general theory. The material we need is mostly covered in the first chapter of our text. For now, you can safely skip section 1.10 on Classical Field Theory. We should complete this review by our second Wednesday.
